The Starry Night

The light we inhabit and the stars we call upon,

The earth that we believe for thousand years,

The seasons that change numerous times,

The balloons that we blow high,

By all the rivers , the waves that pass by

The luminescent with a beauty of its own

Giving a million twinkles and aurora

With the multiple colors which carry and move

Like the bells ringing ,

The winds washing away with the cold ,

The universe that shares most of the luster

Will always touch the souls in the starry night sky.

Spring Enchant

Memories of the misty trees came up to me and surrounded with their lucid imagery.

The petals under the ether brume fluttered like a fulgent sky.

Out on the sunny days , it turned like a glittery jewel.

A candy floss encircling the rainbows bestowed all the colors.

There was a crescent moon which lifted away all the darklings.

A velvet cloth on a spring night filtered the pink fragments of a mythical isle.

Carpe Diem!

Carpe diem ?

Standing at the edge , do you know what I’m feeling like ?

I’m feeling on top of the world without even standing on it. It’s okay to live and not capture it or maybe capture it and still live it. The lake , trees everything’s just looking at me and asking me to dive.

I want to jump , I want to plunge , I want to fly. I want to be a freebird.

They say “Happiness is a mood , not a destination”. Is this what happiness feels like ? It comes from within. Sometimes it comes from within those places where you least expect it. The places you took least amount of time to observe.

Look around , what do you see ? Garden , flowers , houses ?

The beauty of seeing , visualising all these things comes from oneself. Everyday is a new day to begin and feel fresh about it. Ask yourself what you can do to to make you feel better. Ask this to sense yourself. Let it out , do everything with your heart out and surround yourself with everything you come across. Watch it , feel it , play with it and vibe with it.

Is there anything you can’t do ? Don’t ask others. Ask yourself ?

Make yourself do it , act it , Make the most use of it. Understand life , understand why skies can be with different colors , why birds with differents names.

We’re encouraged to do things what others want , what others been doing but did we really ask ourselves if we were ever happy about it. Stop while you’re watering plants and smell the roses , eat croissants for lunch , party during day time. Let’s change the narrative of whatever we carried for ages and let’s hold something new , something different that would only make yourself happy.

There are plenty of things you can do it. Even though you get old and have babies and busy holding things to your family , you certainly should take an excessive amount of time for yourself. Maybe it can be writing a few songs, playing your guitar or writing poetry. Let time consume you for that life is only for a second and not for an entire season. If there’s anything in this world to travel distant and deep is travelling inside your own heart , finding it and acknowledging it. Love thyself every moment and make every moment love you and count you. Seize the day , seize the moment , catch it , express it , encapsulate it and then , make it your own. You are enough for yourself , and seize everything that comes from within you , seize yourself.

A Wild Sheep Chase

” One morning I awoke and the sheep was gone. It was then that I understood what it meant to be ‘sheepless.’ Sheer hell. The sheep goes away leaving only an idea. But without the sheep there is no expelling that idea. That is what it is to be ‘sheepless.’ ”

A Wild Sheep Chase is my third murakami book after ‘Men Without Women’ and ‘The Elephant Vanishes’ and it is the third book in the “Trilogy of the Rat”. I wouldn’t call it as a bad read but there were some parts of it which didn’t make the character progress. Initially when the narrator went on a hunt for sheep , I really thought that the story would be more of delusion and mystery but then the story actually turned out be an emotional one.

Pros :

What I absolutely loved about this book is the writing style of Murakami where he always wants the readers to imagine vividly. He gives more life , more power , more vigor in his writings. It’s like you’re living the character out there. Also , I loved the character of sheep professor and his gripping tale of sheep coming inside his body and making a pragmatic effect on him.

Cons :

There were few sections which utterly made no indication. Some of them were – The girlfriend of the narrator formerly knowing the call about the sheep , The girlfriend was a central part of the book and then the writer just brushed her off with no explicit reason. The fact that Rat was also close to J and the other woman but they didn’t really get to know about his ending.

Although it was an average read and I found this book interesting at few parts. The end was not very convincing as I really thought there could be still more account in the life of Rat.

December Mellow

December mellow

December comes with a wavy of snow and leaves with a trace of borderless lows.

It fills our tables with waffles and steaks.

And loads our lives with the essence of Christmas and cake.

It is you who bring the winter to the autumn leaves

And carries the cold throughout in snow-clad paradise.

The charm of your medley has the highest antique

And the slopes of the mountains have the smoothest slick.

The sparkly trees has a trunk within you

And the candle’s flame has the deepest blue.

You are the red and white to the streets decor

And also the light and airy to the upcoming travellers.

You’ve come a long way in year’s endeavour

And yet you remain the most favorite month in people’s calendar.

The pursuit of hope

While we have to stay at ‘home’ , let us live happily and peacefully with our families. And when I say ‘happily’ and ‘peacefully’ , not everyone stays in this way.

A lot of us are going through a difficult phase in our life. Some have lost their loved ones while some of us are struggling to get their daily needs. Lousy and dreadful , many unpleasant things happening around this world. Many are fighting against this deadly pandemic and many are also suffering alone in a closed room. Many migrants have lost their jobs while most of them have become unemployed and lost their track in this world.

This is a time where we we must strive for hope in this journey. Maybe this is an awakening for us for what we took granted , maybe there’s a silver lining ahead of us. Maybe there’s hope against all the turmoil. We need to rebuild ourselves. We need to depend on one another. We all have to maintain the positive balance in ourselves in spite of all the uncertainties that’s happening around us.

There are good times as well as bad times. Understanding these bad times and overcoming them is what the world and the entire universe needs right now. We need to understand our mind and body and assemble them in a lively way.

The world is at a disruption and staying inside our homes will save ourselves as well as the lives of others. Let us not lose our aspiration in this journey. Let us unite in prayer and overcome this battle with solidarity and harmony. Let’s all be happy and cheerful even in the midst of corona and let us all emphasize the hopeful side of a situation that might seem dingy on the surface.

Close to the Bone

” One cannot consent to creep when you are meant to fly “

“ Healing begins when you realize there’s no cure. The disease tells you something is wrong ; now you have to fix what’s wrong ?”

I just finished this book now and I’ve absolutely no words to describe how well this book is. The book ‘Close to the Bone’ gives a descriptive information of how Lisa Ray had spent her serendipitous life. Working at the age of sixteen and living a nomadic life , she saw world in a different perspective.

‘Engrossing’ and ‘Absorbing’ loved how the way she outlined everything with a minimal detail. The huge factor which illuminated me was how Lisa wasn’t profane. She was sacred in her whole journey. A lot of us tend to forget about our divine when we go through an arduous phase in our life. Entailing god and yoga as an inevitable component , she had set laws that if something’s salient to you , ‘Pursue it and Forget the rest ‘.

She firmly believed that there was a hidden gem in each and every individual. The catalogue of her travel diaries , the Bombay shoots, the battle of Multiple Myeloma counting all these in her memoir , she guided us instantly to the mystery that one can conquer anything if one is determined to do it. So having read this book , I must say , it was an odyssey. A trip to the core of her enthralling and gripping life.

The Last Lecture

The last lecture

The last lecture is a book by Randy Pausch. This book briefly tells about randy having a pancreatic cancer and gives out his last lecture telling about his childhood dreams , dying and staying alive when you’re still dying. I think what I love about this book is that he clearly depicts the idea of living his life with memories. He fills his stories with humor and intelligence. There was one thing which he told that got glued to me was when that his children should take their own path , not the path which were chosen by their parents. Although this book is a must read and having read this book , I must say that life is short and do valuable things before it takes you away!

Men without women

Murakami’s men without women brings a solid mystery to all the readers. He unravels the concepts on how men tries to live their life without women. He also carries certain ideas of how women bring out the fullness in man and tries to cope their life longingly.

Although this book failed to bring out the purpose of each characters and their story. All I could say is that it was dull and tedious , lacked the importance of uniqueness and didn’t make it up to mark. For the ones who’s going to read it, I’d say it’s sterile and pointless to read this. ☹️

The Forty Rules Of Love

Love is to explore , to enlighten and to spread the divine peace of god.The truth speaks in every words of Shams-i-Tabrīzī for he is an interpreter of love. The thoughts , the wisdoms and the path taken by him were the most enthralling ones.
